| PTD or Pegawai Tadbir dan Diplomatik can be considered as one of the most exclusive position in the civil service. PTD officers are the one will eventually hold key government positions that include KSU (Ketua Setiausaha), Director General (Ketua Pengarah), District Officer (DO) and Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri. PTD is one of the earliest posts introduced in the Malaysian civil service which started back in 1904. It was first known as Malaysian Home and Foreign Services (MHFS), then changed to Pegawai Tadbir & Diplomatik (PTD) as we know today. The PTD officers are involved in the country development at all levels. They are responsible in strengthening the country administration function, social infrastructure development, economy and the industrial. In other words, it is one of the most important portfolios before the country embraced and emphasize on the private sector. As the name sounds, some of the PTD officers are also sent as the country diplomatic representative and are based in the Malaysian embassies abroad. But that’s not all about PTD. Apart from the international diplomatic representation, the PTD also consists of the following fields, namely:
Bagi memasuki perkhidmatan PTD, seseorang calon itu perlu terlebih dahulu mendaftar dengan pihak Suruhanraya Perkhidmatan Awam sama ada melalui Borang SPA 8 ataupun secara online di laman http://www.spa.gov.my. Secara umumnya, semua calon akan melalui tiga tapisan sebelum mereka dilantik sebagai pegawai PTD. Peperiksaan Hanya mereka yang mempunyai kelayakan minimum sekurang-kurangnya ijazah Sarjana Muda dengan kepujian yang diiktiraf sama ada daripada universiti tempatan mahupun luar negara, akan dipanggil untuk mengambil peperiksaan khas bagi memasuki perkhidmatan PTD ini. http://forum.ptdportal.com/ |
